Rallly

★ 4k

Group scheduling polls — find a meeting time without the Doodle paywall. One container and a Postgres.

Rallly does the job of Doodle, self-hosted. It is AGPL-licensed, so a hosted fork has to publish its changes, and it installs in about one command. Doodle bills $15/mo for it.

Open-source replacement for Doodle.

Is it actually a replacement?

We have written a verdict on what it replaces — what you lose, and why people still pay:

How Rallly runs

Where it runs

Rallly runs on your machine or their cloud.

Installing it

Use the hosted service with no install, or run the official single-server Docker Compose stack.

Where your data lives

Rallly Cloud stores polls, votes, comments and account data in Rallly's infrastructure; self-hosting stores primary data in PostgreSQL and uploads in bundled Garage S3-compatible object storage or configured external Postgres/S3.

What setup takes

Hosted free polls are deleted after every option is past and 30 inactive days; self-hosting is free for one registered user only, with multi-user administration requiring a perpetual license.

The catch compared with Doodle

Rallly closely matches date voting, but the hosted free service deletes expired inactive polls and the free self-hosted edition permits only one registered account.
